I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Algebra 1 is one of the most basic subjects that is critical to understanding in order to successfully earn a degree in engineering. For this reason I believe I am especially qualified for it.

Algebra 2

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Algebra 2 is one of the most basic subjects that is critical to understanding in order to successfully earn a degree in engineering. For this reason I believe I am especially qualified for it.

AutoCAD

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Several courses in my curriculum entail the use of AutoCAD. Additionally, I worked for a laboratory, Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology, in which I used an AutoCAD-like program in my work.

Biology

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Biology was one of the courses I took to make up for a technical elective. I passed the course with an A.

Calculus

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. One of the courses I needed to take was Calculus. I took all courses in the Calculus series in Las Positas College, earning two A's and one B throughout.

Chemistry

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. One of the courses I needed to take was Chemistry. I took two courses in chemistry, passing with an A and a B.

Differential Equations

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. One of the courses I needed to take was Differential Equations. I passed top in my class with a B. I know I passed top because my instructor told me the following semester.

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. One of the courses I needed to take was Linear Algebra. I passed with a B.

Mechanical Engineering

I possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis. My GPA is at a 3.15. I have consistently passed my classes with A's and B's, and for this reason I feel like I am qualified to tutor students under this subject.

Microsoft Excel

I have used Microsoft Excel extensively with my coursework and in the job place. I have been using it since junior high, when I was first trained to use it in my charter school. I continued to use it, up through my college coursework and beyond. For this, I believe I am qualified to teach it.

I have been using computers ever since a young age. I have used Microsoft Windows primarily, and am knowledgeable of the layout and programs that come with it. I am often the to-go-to guy when others need assistance using computers.

Physics

One of the foundational subjects in engineering is physics. Understanding it is essential to the success of a career in said discipline. Possessing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I believe I am especially qualified to tutor this subject and connect it to its uses in real world applications to ground its importance.

Prealgebra

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prealgebra is one of the most basic subjects that is critical to understanding in order to successfully earn a degree in engineering. For this reason I believe I am especially qualified for it.

Precalculus

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Precalculus is a precursor to Calculus, which I have demonstrated proficiency in. For this reason, I believe I am qualified for the subject.

Statistics

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Statistics and Probability for Engineering was one of the courses I took for my technical elective. I passed with a B.

Trigonometry

I possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Trigonometry is one of the most basic subjects that is critical to understanding in order to successfully earn a degree in engineering. For this reason I believe I am especially qualified for it.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
