I am pretty laid back, flexible and fun loving but also a diligent, hard worker. I think my age helps me identify and connect with my clients in that I am very approachable and can share my knowledge and experience. The relationship between a tutee and tutor is a professional one but I believe that again you should also be approachable as well as knowledgeable. I really enjoy seeing the light bulb go on inside students as well as seeing them achieve their goals. I tutor in a semi-laid back way and teach both the principles and the short cuts that still allow true understanding.
Prior to moving to Atlanta, I taught Organic, general/(college) and biochemistry at the college level for 4.5 years while I also staying plugged into the lab in conjunction with the College of Charleston and MUSC towards the development of novel antibiotics and antimitotics based on Cytosporone E and Colchicine, respectively. While doing this, I also tutored students that were recommended to me in Organic & Organic Chemistry successfully.
I received my B.A. in Chemistry at Mercer University in 2005 and the went on to receive my M.S. in Chemistry at UNC Charlotte in 2007 where I was a Thomas Walsh Fellow. I look forward to working with you in the near future.
