My areas are of specialty are Religion and Public Speaking. With a Ph.D. in Homiletics (the study of preaching), I have worked with numerous students on the graduate level to improve their speaking, presentation and content. I have also worked with undergraduates and high school students to help them move from initial ideas to public presentations.
My dissertation was on the rhetorical practice of invention (how we come up with what we say) and I spent time in graduate school studying rhetorical analysis - or how we evaluate rhetoric. I use these skills and experience to help students publicly express what they are passionate about in a clear and powerful way. One of the first steps in public speaking is gaining confidence in the belief that what you say matters.
If you need help with religion in general, I can also provide tutoring in studies within the Christian tradition. This includes academic approaches to Biblical Studies, History, Theology, Worship and much more.
