As a fifteen-year veteran instructor of mathematics, I have served in the capacity of mentor, coach, and coordinator of various school-based programs and activities. Proving my abilities over my tenure with Atlanta Public Schools in the capacity of the classroom has allowed me to expand my abilities in leadership roles as well as through various extracurricular sponsorships and foundations. I have fulfilled duties such as faculty advisor for four Teach For America corps members during the summer of 2008 and 2009. I have also acted as a peer mentor and evaluator for many of my colleagues in order to optimize pedagogical skills of colleagues and student performance through coaching, peer collaboration, classroom visits, and model lesson demonstrations. In addition, I have suggested alternative methods to measure authentic learning by students. Furthermore, I have served as senior team leader in addition to fulfilling the role of math lead teacher.
