My name is Chelly and I am a very experienced tutor. I have been a tutor for most of my adult life (in Europe), tutoring French while working towards my own undergraduate degree in French Language and Literature, then continuing on, after graduating Law School, as a professional tutor of almost all Law School subjects for students who fail the same courses in Law School over and over again. Also, I have helped struggling students to LEARN how to study in general, helping them set up a reliable way of studying and preparing for exams. I developed my own business as an independent tutor to students of my alma mater.
I also have extensive experience in tutoring high school and freshman college students in French, with an emphasis on syntax, vocabulary and grammar.
In my experience, following up my lessons by getting students to read some (slim!) novels, even magazine or newspaper articles, in French will really help them get a proper feel for the French language, as well as helping them with "slang" expressions!!
Born in the Netherlands, and still fluent in the Dutch language, I am also well qualified to help you with any Dutch language study programs or translations you may need.
I have a genuine, lifelong passion for teaching, and a love of imparting knowledge to my students. I tend to develop a more personal relationship with my students as the months go by, but I do set limits and boundaries.
I am looking forward to hearing from all you people out there, who need help studying or translating Dutch and French!
