Hello everyone! My name is Micole. I am a certified teacher in grades P-5. I graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a bachelors degree in early childhood education, and I am currently working on my master's degree at Mercer University. I have 5 years of teaching experience during which I taught struggling students that were below grade level. I also have experience in tutoring elementary age students. I have played the piano for 20+ years and currently teach piano lessons. My passion is working with and helping children of all ages become successful in everything they do. I believe that everyone can be successful if they work hard and persevere. I look forward to working with you and your student and I am very excited for this opportunity.

Elementary Math

I am an educator and have experience teaching math in grades 2-5. Most of my career has been with 4th-5th grades but I do know the content for the lower grades as well. I have experience with the old standards and the new common core curriculum.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am an elementary schoolteacher. I have taught grades K-5 for 4 and a half years. A lot of my experience is with 4-5 grades but I have experience with K-3 as well. During my teaching career I have worked with struggling students, those maybe behind a grade level or so, teaching them different strategies to use to help them be successful in school.

Phonics

I am currently a certified teacher in grades P-5 and in my reading class I strictly focus on Phonics and Fluency. I have an assessment that I give the students that lets me pinpoint exactly what they need as far as phonics and I am able to plan lessons that have the students work on those skills by manipulating words and letters as well as practice in writing those words.

Piano

I have been playing the piano since the age of 4, so that is over 23 years now. I learned by reading music and am classically trained. My grandmother and mother both taught piano as I was growing up and I would "substitute" for them on occasions. Therefore I have some experience teaching piano.
