Medical doctor that "demystifies" medical science

I am a medical doctor who is presently going through licensing for medical practice in the US. I graduated from a Russian medical school and later on completed a residency training and Ph.D. program in General Surgery. Afterwards, I worked as an attending surgeon and lectured fellow doctors, medical students and nurses.

In 2012, I was ECFMG Certified and will be applying for residency training here in the US in 2013. This certification required as a sound knowledge of the basic science courses as well as the clinical courses and of course passing the USMLE steps 1 and 2.

Teaching is my passion and the most rewarding thing about teaching for me is that while teaching others, I improve and update my knowledge of all the medical/life sciences. My approach to teaching is simple and unsophisticated as I have come to realize over the years that, the best way to impact knowledge is to lay a strong foundation based on the understanding of basic science principles and later on apply these principles to practice.

Anatomy

I am an attending surgeon with more than 15 years experience in general surgery and have taught human anatomy to medical students and nurses for more than 8 years and have also helped many students and doctors preparing for different professional exams.

I am presently preparing for medical residency here in the U.S. after passing the USMLE exams including anatomy.

Anatomy is my passion and I will gladly share my wealth of knowledge with prospective students

Microbiology

I am a medical doctor undergoing licensing process for medical practice here in the USA. I have a lot of experience teaching microbiology to medical students and nurses for more than 10 years. I love teaching because it is very fulfilling and helps me even understand the various subjects better and stay informed about the latest developments in science and technology. Recently, I passed the USMLE steps 1 and 2. I will be glad to share my wealth of knowledge with prospective students.

Soccer

Soccer has always been more than a hobby to me because it was the most revered sport in Nigeria when I was a teenager. As early as at the age of six, I decided to follow in my elder brother's (a former professional soccer player) footsteps. To some extent, I succeeded and made my school team. Russian

I studied at the medical faculty of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow, Russian Federation and took special classes on teaching Russian as a foreign language. I passed the test after the classes and was issued a certificate to this effect.

I have taught Russian language to diplomats while living in Moscow and have done some translation for some businesses as well.

Biostatistics

I am graduate from a medical school in Russia and studied biostatistics and epidemiology as one of the basic science courses. In 2010, I took special Kaplan medical classes on biostatistics and epidemiology as this is a component of the USMLE test for foreign medical graduates to enter into residency in the US and aced it in my exam.

Pharmacology

Pharmacology is one of my favorite subjects from medical school and while working at the hospital, I truly discovered this subject. Medical practice really cemented the knowledge and also I discovered that teaching such challenging subjects to students and colleagues helps reinforce the knowledge.
