When it comes to dedication in helping individuals who WANT to be inspired and motivated to begin setting up their path for success through education, that describes exactly what my focus is. I have been working with students with disabilities since my senior year of high school and decided at that point that these individuals have as much right as any other student to learn. In completing my Bachelor's from Clemson University in Special Education and my Masters from Georgia State University in Behavior / Learning Disabilities, I have worked with some of the top professionals in my field on the proven techniques to raise student performance and quality of self-esteem going forward.
My background was extensively in Title 1 schools where my focus was on helping those less fortunate with techniques that increased their ability to GROW academically. My experience includes all Elementary grade levels with a variety of disabilities and I have administered the CRCT and CRCT-M test as a classroom teacher. My strength areas include reading comprehension, mathematics, literacy, phonics, and study skills. I also have a strong passion for working with individuals with behavioral disorders.
