With more than 17 years of combined experience in education, (which includes Orton-Gillingham Associate level training by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators), technology, radio, media, corporate law, and child advocacy, I bring a wealth of experience to the tutoring table.
It has been my privilege to touch the lives of scholars who are children, teenagers and adults from local, international, migrant, and affluent families. Many of my students have been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Mild Tourette's, Turner's syndrome, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and/or deemed "at-risk."

I taught Spanish and English for two years at Brandon Hall exclusive boarding school, wherein my students were diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), ADHD, mild Tourette's, Turner's syndrome and auditory dyslexic. I designed culturally congruent and personalized lessons to enhance student learning, and shared global axiologies. My students include at-risk children and teenagers coming from indigenous, disenfranchised and prominent local, national and international homes.
From 1995 to 1998 I taught ESOL and Spanish enrichment to students in grades K - 5 at Goethe German Language Institute, Winona Park Elementary school, College Heights Elementary school and Montessori at Emory. I was specifically contracted by Goethe to teach reading, writing and speaking to the elementary school child of a high ranking Korean corporate executive.
Possessing an inimitable delivery style and powerful prose, I was dubbed the "Voice of Atlanta" and top 5 co-host candidate for CNN's “Talk Back Live" program.
I received honors in speech, bilingual writing and content development. For more than 20 years I have worked in the areas of education, broadcast media and publishing. As a broadcast engineer, producer and host for public affairs and multilingual radio programs, I am well versed and equipped to assist candidates in the areas of Speech, public speaking and accent reduction. Personable, pioneering and erudite, I have written speeches for political candidates, and guided both native and non-native English speakers, and helped them to address and surpass their public speaking goals.
I teach and have taught bilingual educational theater and world language using theatrical paradigms for more than ten years.
This instruction includes writing original monolingual and bilingual scripts, and empowering my scholars to do so as well.
I have had the privilege to teach at public, private and independent schools, halls and on-air (radio). These institutions include, but are not limited to: The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Billy Holiday Theater, The Youth Worker's Program (NYC), Brandon Hall School, Georgia State University, Morrow High School, The Latin American Association, Milán International School Scholars, WBAI, 99.5 FM, WRFG, 89.3 FM, and Stone Mountain High School.
It has been my privilege to use drama as a source of communicative-educational art which reduces the effective filter and empowers students. My students who are (or have been) LEP (Limited English Proficient), at-risk, and/or diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Tourette and Turner's syndrome learn to present on the small and large stage as they gain life-long public speaking/acting/directing skills, confidence and have fun!
