I have extensive experience in teaching students that "just don't get math". I have tutored students both from public and private school settings and covering widely different curricula and teaching styles. I do not teach to the test but rather show the process of understanding mathematical concepts. However, I do have a couple of tricks up my sleeve for those standardized tests that all students will have to take. The subjects I teach range from elementary math to Calculus, specializing in SAT and ACT mathematics test preparation.

My education consist of a B.S in Mathematics Education from North Carolina State University and a Masters in Education from New York University

With over 10 years experience teaching mathematics, I can show your struggling student ways to tackle math problems in any form, and at the same time raise their self esteem.

I can provide multiple resources for students from Elementary school to college and individual tutoring to accommodate a students' particular thinking strategies.

Session length 1 hour to 4 hours

I tutor in person and online. My main radius for home visits would be approximately north of I20 and inside of I 285 with limited exceptions (a rate differential applies).
