I have 15+ years of relevant professional experience as a teacher and as an engineering/research professional. My experience includes international teaching & tutoring in Bermuda, Trinidad, Kenya, Barbados, and Korea. I love to learn, and I love to teach.

My Education:
I have a solid education in mathematics and the Earth and Space Sciences. I acquired a Bachelor of Science in Space Studies from American Military University in Charleston, West Virginia, where my professors included distinguished scholars such as former space shuttle astronaut Wendy Lawrence and astronomer Alan Hale (co-discoverer of the Hale-Bopp Comet). In my years as an environmental professional, I have possessed numerous certifications from the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, including the Certified Environmental Scientist (CES) certifications, as well as certifications from the National Institute of Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), and the Environmental Institute. In addition to my formal academic and professional education, I am a serious autodidact that constantly seeks to learn new things in order to stay ahead of the curve.

Awards and Recognition:
I am a 2x Decorated Americorps Alumni, recognized by Secretary of State (then Senator) John Kerry, former Congressman John Olver, multiple Massachusetts State Senators, and former Town of Greenfield Mayor Christine Forgey for youth work and community service in Western Massachusetts. I offer 15 years as an educator, scientist, and technologist. In 2008, I was recognized by AYA Educational Institute in Stone Mountain Georgia for going above and beyond the call of duty to help children in their education.

My Style:
I am neither a pure academic, nor a pure pragmatist. Instead, my subject matter expertise comes from academic training, self-learning, and real world professional experience.

Working with Children:
In my book "The Seven Laws of Successful Youth Work" (2008), I outlined the following principles for working with youth:

1. Teaching is Loving – Our tutors are compassionate and caring individuals with a joy for helping people succeed and achieve their goals.
2. Nobody knows Everything – Our tutors are constantly learning and understand that the educational process is a feedback loop. Our tutors learn more with each student so that the best service can be provided.
3. Knowledge vs. Information – Mr, Booker's educational philosophy emphasises the importance between knowledge and information. Information is simply data, whereas knowledge is the ability to put data into usage. Our tutors
4. Ingenuity is More Important Than Resources – Our tutors rely on creative teaching techniques rather than expensive gimmicks to help students achieve a higher understanding of their subject. This is at the core of why Booker Analysis & Strategy offers tutoring that rivals any of it's competitors at far lower prices.
5. Teaching is Nation Building – Our tutors understand that each student is more than just someone who needs help with an assignment. People use their knowledge to fill their niche in society. This is critical to our approach to personalizing learning.
6. Progress takes Time – Our tutors understand the importance of patience and practice in developing a student's abilities. Booker Analysis & Strategy helps each student to develop a long-term regimen that will lead to the highest impact.
7. Goal setting is Important for Educational Growth – Our tutors help students to set realistically big goals, and assist each students with working to accomplish his/her goals.

Working with Adults:
Like children, adults also need patience, encouragement and reassurance. Our need to ask for help does not go away with adulthood, and neither does our fears of failure. Therefore, I believe that those who tutor adults should not make the mistake of ceasing to be supportive of the adult learner, and to place huge emphasis on building the learner's confidence.
