My name is Alexandria J., and I am a college graduate from the University of Florida. I am dependable, hardworking, honest, dedicated, and I also have verifiable references. I live in Atlanta Georgia, where I am a certified kindergarten teacher working Fulton County. Although, I am a kindergarten teacher I am certified to teach up to fifth grade. I have over 10 plus years serving as a private tutor in the areas of k-9th grade math, k-college level reading and writing, and also standardized test preparation such as the GED, SAT, ACT, FCAT, etc. I love children, and most of all I love showing them how amazingly fun learning can be. If given the opportunity to tutor you, I will GUARANTEE that you gain better insight and understanding to the areas of education that you may have problems with. I know and understand that not all children learn the same, and this give me an advantage above other tutors. Tutoring involves discovering how a person grasp concepts, and integrating that method into ways of understanding.
I am looking to tutor part time, and significantly less than what other tutors charge. Additionally, I passionately love what I do, and the biggest compensation for me is hearing a someone that I have been tutoring say "I can do this, I understand."
Hope to hear from you,
Criminal Justice is the system of practices and institutions of governments directed at upholding social control, deterring and mitigating crime, or sanctioning those who violate laws with criminal penalties and rehabilitation efforts. Those accused of crime have protections against abuse of investigatory and prosecution powers.
I hold a degree in Criminology from the University of Florida.
I am a certified teacher in the state of Georgia in the subject of elementary PreK-5. Elementary is the foundation for learning, and serves as a building block of their educational career. I have one year of teaching experience in Atlanta Public Schools, and over ten years of tutoring students in the areas of reading, writing, spelling, phonics, math, and social studies. My teaching style, and pedagogy is to provide students with rigorous material, and instruction. When dealing with younger students in the elementary age range, differentiation is important and must be considered during instruction and implementation. Providing differentiated instruction is one of the fundamental keys to teaching. I also have training in common core, which is a newer curriculum that is being implemented in most states across the nation.
