Hello, future students! I am an artist and illustrator living in Atlanta, Georgia. I specialize in digital illustration in Photoshop and traditional painting in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. I received my bachelor’s degree in Theatre Design from the University of Kentucky, and earned my master’s degree in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. My work has appeared on the stage of the New York City Opera, on the hit TV shows Archer and Unsupervised, and in various galleries and shops.

Because I do hold a master's degree I have been trained to teach college-level courses, which is how I will format and conduct tutoring sessions with students. I am sensitive to the student's pace and learning style, and will accommodate my methods accordingly.

Theatre

My undergraduate degree is in Theatre Design, and I am fully competent in this field. I have also worked in theatre as a designer and under the tutelage of very talented and Tony Award-winning designers.

Adobe Photoshop

I have been working in Photoshop since the mid-1990's. I am proficient in all aspects of the program. My master's degree consists of, in part, digital illustration through Photoshop. I have also worked in this program professionally, with Photoshop imagery as the primary function.

Drawing

My graduate degree is in Illustration, the foundation of which is drawing. I have been trained on a collegiate level in classical rendering and modern, more expressive methods of drawing. I know how to utilize various drawing mediums such as graphite, charcoal, ink, colored pencil, and marker to achieve optimum results.

Painting

I have been painting all of my life, but received professional instruction working in various theatre companies as a scenic painter. I have also had courses in painting in all mediums as a component of my master's degree. My painting work is featured in multiple galleries and shops.
