I recently completed my internship in a school geared towards students with specific and often varied learning challenges. This experience taught me that if a student may find it difficult to learn in traditional scenarios, perhaps we should teach in a way that speaks to the individual student. A little bit about me: I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Teaching/ Education (and a 4.0 GPA) and hold a Bachelor's degree in English. My particular area of expertise is in the arena of Literature/ Language Arts/ English; an area I feel strongly about because the abilities to read and write effectively are the hallmarks of strong communication skills into high school, college as well as beyond. Every student has the capacity to learn, and if given the opportunity, we will certainly find the instruction that speaks to them and helps them to fulfill their potential!
