One of my passions is to teach! That is the reason I am participating as a tutor in this cybernetic space.

I would like to share a little about myself. I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education (Special Education) and a master's in Public Health with specialty in Biostatistics. I really enjoy giving classes. I like to base my lessons according to the students' needs and interests.

I completed my bachelor degree (Arts of Elementary Education - Special Education) at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus. I believe in integrating the learning style of the students in every class I taught. I focus on students' strengths, their preferences and needs to create my educational plans.

Special Needs

I completed my bachelor degree (Arts of Elementary Education with specialty in Special Education) at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus. My major practice was with students diagnosed with SLD, ADHD, ADD, Autism, others.

Salsa Dancing

I was certified in salsa - basic and intermediate level- by the San Juan Municipality in Puerto Rico. My instructors are highly professionals that has been participating in the World Salsa Congress.

ADD/ADHD

I taught Hispanic students diagnosed with ADD/ADHD at one of the public schools in Puerto Rico. I had great results with reading, writing and math subjects. I based my classes according to the student needs, and used the IEP of each children. Also, I integrated the use of technology as one of my strategies.

Autism

I taught Hispanic students diagnosed with autism at one of the public schools in Puerto Rico. I had great results with reading, writing and math subjects. I based my classes on the student needs, and used the IEP of each children. Also, I integrated the use of technology as one of my strategies.

Biostatistics

I completed my master degree in Public Health with specialty in Biostatistics at the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus/School of Public Health. My GPA was 3.47.

Dyslexia
