Hi!
My name is Dana.
I am a BA graduate in English Language and Literature, certified in TESOL with Seattle University College of Education, Seattle, WA, currently teaching adult ESL classes in Atlanta, GA.
My background includes designing lesson plans that suit all levels of learners, from beginners to advanced students. I have been teaching English for more than fifteen years, both in the U.S. and in my country. My experience relates to a strong understanding of English grammar, writing, reading comprehension, speaking, and punctuation. I teach all English language skills with a flexible adapted instruction to a large range of students' needs and pathways.
I assess students of different learning levels, using a variety of assessment techniques, then direct them toward the right method of study. I state clearly the objectives of the lesson, then, demonstrate, explain, exemplify, correct the pronunciation and grammar, and review the taught material by using enjoyable and useful pedagogical methods.
By doing a lot of interpreting and document translation, I develop my language skills every day.
It would be a pleasure to also tutor any level of the Romanian language, my native tongue.
I find time to enjoy hobbies as: yoga, reading, philosophy, jogging, cooking, watching classical films.
