Hi!
My name is Martina. I am a passionate educator and youth-worker. I have recently graduated from Hampshire College where I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Community Education. During my time in college, I worked with mostly middle-school and high-school aged youth, supporting them with school work, including writing, Italian, video production, geography and social studies.
Since graduating, I have worked with homeschooling children between 4 and 12 years old, teenagers with learning disabilities, and infants/toddlers. We've worked on science experiments, theatre, reading, history and writing. I currently coordinate a music-based after-school program where I work with kids between 5 and 12 years old, teaching rhythm, notation, and basic piano skills. As a teacher, I believe in centering the specific needs of each individual student. I do this by being as flexible as possible with the curriculum at hand. I tailor my teaching methodology to my students specific learning abilities.
