I have been in the Digital Systems and Information Technology Field - Business for about 8-10 yrs; from basic computer systems - Repair and Support to building Digital Systems from the ground-up, and recently working for AT & T (subcontractor) as a Solution Consultant for Smart Phones and Mini-Laptops.
As a graduate in computer science and related technologies - Digital Systems, etc., I believe and have always believed that technology is at the forefront... in helping to improve our lives and Mankind. Now that we have arrived at the digital age - wireless technologies and remote digital network systems are playing a big role, we have indeed come a long way from the Stone Age. My role in all of these is to make my mark as a science or computer related systems educator by helping to educate people, especially our future technologists (Children) to quickly grasp the impact that digital systems is going to have in their lives.
My experiences as a Computer Network Administrator and Computer Systems Instructor at the basic levels and up to the undergraduate college levels mostly at my previous jobs - notwithstanding the "One-on-One" interactions/experiences with my clients (Small to Midsize Business Owners) who are the adamant end-users of computer related technologies today - support my assumptions and predictions that the present wave of technology and digital systems will drive the trend of emerging technological solutions to our common problems.
Therefore, based on my present background in the Computer Technology Business and having been on the Technical Support Field to observe, support and educate users of computer related technologies of different age and work-groups, my goal as a tutor would be to bring them to students and interested clients the understanding, functions and usefulness of technology systems, especially in computer related technologies and their applications to their day-to-day activities and their future endeavors. My methods and approach will be based on a combined structural and practical experience - "Learning-by-Doing" type of Teaching with some standardized curriculum and fashioned gradual step by step learning process. The student will be engaged in an interactive process and propelled to respond accordingly to real-life scenario questions in a manner that would mimic the real-world experiences... The teaching techniques will be hands on based with project oriented approach to give the student the opportunity to express their passions. The ability to be able to resolve and find solutions to our day to day problems using technological tools like computer and related devices would be at the core of the learning process.
Because the digital age is here and is here to stay, we have to use it, enjoy it and be a part of the revolution.
