I have been a distinguished Graphic Artist/Illustrator since 1981. A product of the North Carolina educational system, I was a recipient of Certificates of Art in both 1981 and 1982. I was also the 1983 winner of the prestigious Art Pen Award. Having received my Associate in Applied Science Degree in Commercial Graphics from Randolph Community College in Asheboro, North Carolina, I came to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989. The Art Institute of Atlanta provided me with an Associate of Arts Degree in Illustration/Fashion Illustration in 1991. I attended Atlanta Area Technical College in Atlanta with a concentration in Design & Media Production. I was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in 2011. Professional experiences include the Pepsi Cola Company, Accent Printing Company, Advance Graphics Communications, F&R Specialty Advertising, Options Software Inc., Fedex/Kinko’s, TrialGraphix/TrailLogix, Green Mountain Ads and the Georgia Department of Labor, Consumer Issues Community Paper (Graphic Designer/Layout Artist).

Photoshop is a photo retouching program. It is a very powerful program. It can be used for many things from graphic design to webdesign. I have about 7 years of experience with this program.

Drawing

I am a freehand artist. I teach pencil drawing, pen & ink, various paints (water color, acrylic). I can also do murals.

Adobe InDesign

InDesign is a page layout program, I have been using it for the last 5 or 6 years. I am an expert at this program.

Desktop Publishing

I have worked as a desktop publisher for years, I have been in the roll of Desktop publisher on several occasions at the GA Dept. of Labor were I typeset several publications. I was also the graphic artist for a community news paper called "Issues Today".
