I am a graduate student at Georgia Tech in medical physics. I was a TA for a year running lab sections in introductory physics classes, have volunteered teaching basic science concepts once a week at a local elementary school, and for the past year worked as a tutor for math, physics, and chemistry in my school's tutoring office.

I have successfully helped many students with difficult concepts by teaching in a very straightforward, down to earth way that breaks down tough topics and has the student doing it them self in no time! Algebra 1

I took honors math throughout most of high school. I then went on to do mechanical engineering and physics in college due to my proficiency in math. Even though this was several years ago math is something that builds cumulatively and isn't something that you forget because you're always using it. I have tutored students at these beginners levels many times.

Calculus

I took AP calculus when I was a senior in high school back in 2006. I then went on in college to take calc 2, 3, ordinary and partial differential equations. As a physics grad student calculus is something I use everyday and I'm thus able to explain it in a very simply down to earth way. If you're struggling with calc I guarantee I can easily teach you how to get by in it, or excel in it depending on your goals.

Microsoft Excel

Excel is a program I use almost every day. If you need help programming spreadsheets or designing figures let me know.

Microsoft Word

I've used Word ever since I first got a computer in 2002. Because I do a lot of manuscript writing and editing I have a pretty advanced knowledge of it. I can help teach you how to use it past the basics.

Physics

Being a physics grad student I have a very good understanding on the basics. I got an A in both introductory physics classes in college and then went on to TA both classes. I was also a walk-in tutor at an office in undergrad for a year where I also tutored many students struggling with physics. Algebra is a tricky abstract idea at first, but once you accept that letters can represent numbers and you can solve equations without knowing everything about it, algebra is just doing that same simple things over and over.

Precalculus

I took precalc in 11th grade in high school. I then went on to take calc 1, 2, 3 and many other upper level math classes. Precalc is an important class that primarily focuses on being able to visualize functions without actually having to graph them. This is important when you start doing derivatives and integrals. I can help you achieve this.

Trigonometry

I use trig every single day of my life. It's like explaining how to walk for me.

SAT Math

I took the math SAT in 2006 and got a 710. SAT math is supposed to be about being intuitive but, like all standardized tests, it can be beaten.
