Rutgers University - New Brunswick (Physics, Mathematics)
University of Waterloo - Canada (Other)
Emory University (Enrolled) (J.D.)
I am a graduate of Rutgers who majored in Physics and Mathematics.I am currently a student at Emory Law School and specializing in intellectual property law.
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience. I have also been a teacher at the Center For Talented Youth, through John Hopkins University, teaching rising 8th graders and high school students mathematical modeling.
I have tutored at the college-level at the Rutgers Learning Resource Center and have privately tutored students from elementary school to high school. At the Rutgers Learning Resource Center I tutored small groups in problem solving, theoretical content and scientific methods for undergraduate science classes. I have tutored from Algebra to Calc-III at Rutgers in addition to chemistry at times.
I have also had a great deal of scientific experience and have worked around the world on different physics projects. I have been to Germany, Poland, Canada and still do research locally at Rutgers. I have actively been involved with RUPA-The Rutgers University Programming Association throughout my college career and have served as VP of Finance on RUPA. (RUPA puts on events like RutgersFest as well as other events for the Rutgers community through the year).
As I am a tutor and a researcher, I try to implement elements of my research while tutoring. I feel students should try to approach new concepts by drawing on what they already know and thus extend their understanding. In the sciences, simply memorizing is not enough to learn how to apply a concept to a new problem. In mathematics, I feel the proper motivation and background is required when mathematics is being learned; otherwise it is quite frustrating to learn what can be a very abstract subject. I also feel that a tutor isn't simply there to teach information to a student but rather to draw on a students strengths and help them develop study skills and approaches to learn any new material they may encounter in their lives.

I am open to discussing group rates for large enough groups for certain subjects. I also teach in classroom settings. I am currently teaching groups only.
It was a pleasure to work with Vaibhav this semester for my Calculus II class at Rutgers. He knew all of the material right away and provided new, creative ways to think of concepts and learn the material. He went above and beyond our meeting times by providing me with extra materials to take home and practice what we learned during our lesson. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
Vaibhav is very polite and flexible. Vaibhav tries his best to adjust his schedule as per your requirement. His teaching is good and very patient with the student. He is good in Geometry and Physics.
Vaibhav was amazing in teaching the concepts dealing with Calculus BC. He was able to explain the topics in a way that high school students can comprehend. Highly recommend him!
We were very lucky to find Vibhav for my SON to teach him Maths. He was very patient with my son and great Motivator. He also helped my son to make him understand the formulas and definition properly to understand the concepts of the maths, because of Viabhav's education style and he was very patient with my son he made a really great progress in MATHS. We are all very thankful to Vaibhav.
He is very good teacher. He always helps over the phone if I have any questions. I am very satisfied with his teaching.
Comes well prepared with books and writing materials. Teaches a wide variety of subjects ranging from SAT English to AP Calculus. Has flexible timings and probably the best tutor ever!
Prepared me for my Calc II exam, taught me the underlying principles behind each concept and/or theory. Very helpful, patient and fun. Highly recommended.
Vaibhav is an amazing tutor. He is extremely patient and will not move on until you understand the basic material.
Vaibhav is reliable, patient, relates well to students and explains questions and concepts thoroughly. Vaibhav provides multiple ways of looking at problems. He keeps my child on track!
Vaibhav tutors my 2 kids - 9th and 8th grade. He has been their tutor for over a year now. He is really good. He takes a real interest in ensuring that the kids understand the concepts. He is very good at making complex things easy for them to understand. He is very patient and has no problem answering their questions. Their grades have certainly improved a lot thanks to his efforts. Vaibhav is also very reliable. He has never missed a class as of yet and is also on time. He is easily contactable if we need to since he responds to text messages. Overall, I would rate him a 5 star.
Vaibhav helped me with Calculus I, and did a great job! Willing to work with your schedule, and always patient and fun.
Vaibhav is an outstanding tutor. I had him help me with study skills and writing research work. He is very patient and his extensive experience is evident when he teaches. He made difficult academic research papers easier to understand through examples and analogy. I have done extremely well on my research paper that I worked with him on (my last grade was a 96/100 and I only lost a few points for minor format mistakes.) He is extremely accommodating with his schedule and goes above and beyond. He worked with me last minute to review my paper in on time just so I could meet my deadline. He came prepared by reading the articles in advance and taking his own notes so I could make the most of my time with him. I couldn't ask for a better tutor! Thanks Vaibhav!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been teaching Algebra since 2009. I have taught over 50 students in Algebra since that time.
As a math major, I have seen the material in Algebra on several different levels, which allows me to adjust to the level and nature of understanding for each student. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!
I've been teaching Calculus since 2008, both at Rutgers and privately. I have had over 30 students for Calculus over the years.
I teach both the AP Calculus tests and college level calculus. Several students have done very well on the AP test, scoring 5's on the AB and BC tests.
I took Differential Equations in high school as well as in college. In addition to taking a semester of differential equations and one of partial differential equations, I took several classes on Advanced Calculus which are proof based classes where you fundamentally prove and construct the logical basis for Calculus and Differential Equations.
I've taken graduate and undergraduate courses on graph theory, combinatorial theory, and linear programming among others. I've co-taught a course at the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University on applied discrete mathematics.
I have been teaching Geometry for over 5 years now. I realize it can be a strange subject for many students, it's the first time many will encounter formal definitions, proofs and logic. It is definitely a different flavor of math compared to algebra and arithmetic which many students are more comfortable with due to a longer exposure to those subjects!
I have over 5 years of experience of living in India and have native fluency in the language. I can read, write and speak the language. I scored in the top 10 percent of the country when testing for Hindi on national examinations in India and also have a letter which states my fluency in the language from a Professor at Rutgers University.
I have taken a few linear algebra courses at the college level (Math 250 and a proof based course, Math 350) and received A's in both courses. In addition, as a math and physics major, I have regularly been using concepts from linear algebra in many different contexts and courses.
I am a physics major and have been tutoring physics at the Rutgers Learning Center. I teach almost all levels of introductory physics.
