My name is Sandler and I am a 23 year old student. I have only attended private school my whole life. From 6th to 12th grade, I attended Woodward Academy and graduated in 2006. It was there that I honed my writing skills. I received an A on both my English and History Term papers my senior year of high school. I am a very effective writer who knows grammar rules. I know that grammar causes students frustration because some of the concepts are hard to grasp. I know a lot of tricks to help student have a better understanding of grammar. I am also proficient in MLA style essays and can develop one into a successful writer. I understand what teachers look for in papers. I received a 1200 hundred on my SATS with an 11 out of 12 on the essay portion. I took the ACT once and received a 27. For my SATS and ACTS, i spent about 6 months preparing. I am able to adapt to all learning styles because I am aware that some students are better at visual learning while others are better at listening. I am also a very patient person who knows the learning process can be slow and boring but i doesn't have to be. For two years, i attended Colorado State University as a sociology major. My freshmen year, my roommate took college composition and i graded all his papers. He received an A in the course because I was able to bridge the gap between high school and college level writing. I also know different study strategies and different ways to remember certain information learned in class. I can teach how to take detailed and organized notes in class. Consider me if you are having difficulties in writing essay whether it is grammar or the writing process in general. Also, I can tutor in American history and tutor how to write an excellent history paper. I can tutor pre Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. For the ACT, I can tutor both the Writing and Math sections. For the ACT, I can help tutor and prepare for the whole test. Also, I can assist on how to use format papers for Microsoft Word and format projects for Microsoft Powerpoint.
