I am a Georgia certified teacher in the fields of ESL and Spanish with over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults at all levels of language proficiency. I earned my BA with honors at Emory University in Romance Languages, majoring in Spanish. I spent one year of my university career studying in Madrid, Spain for full academic credit. I earned my MS in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language at Georgia State University with a 4.0 for the degree. I also completed my Specialist degree at Georgia State University in Teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught English privately as well as in public school, adult education programs and as a community volunteer. I have tutored Spanish at the elementary, high school and college level. I make learning fun, focusing on ways to make language useful, memorable and meaningful as you learn. In my teaching experience, I have learned ways to make studying time productive and efficient, so I can help you with study skills.
My favorite hobby is sewing and quilting. I have many years of experience sewing clothing and home decor items. I have taught children and adults sewing skills ranging from clothing construction and quilting to machine applique, use of a commercial pattern, and accessories sewing.
