I would love to help you out with French (reading, grammar, accent, speaking, writing) or Literature (reading, grammar, writing, editing, critical analysis)
I am a 2006 graduate of the French and Journalism programs at the University of Georgia. I spent a year of my time as a high school student living in France as part of a French family. My time there cemented what has turned into a lifelong love for French. I graduated high school with a 4.0 in French and graduated college with a 3.5 in French classes (due to a decided lack of interest in Medieval French Literature!).
I've always loved reading and writing and excelled in English and Literature. (Never ask me for help in Science or Math!) I love grammar and editing written pieces most.
As a tutor I'd love to be able to help you fill in the areas of your studies that are not quite making sense. I like to find the little ways to explain things that allow students to remember and absorb information. I see my job as being a band-aid on the language courses you're attending.
During school I also excelled at things involving English, editing, interpreting fine literature, and article writing. I still spend the better part of my time reading books simply editing them as I go. My family often jokes that all of the notes I've highlighted on my kindle are errors in grammar and spelling.
In my professional life I train employees on the use of register systems and customer service. I have 8 years of experience training different types of people who learn in many different ways. The systems are complicated and change regularly, so we're constantly training and keeping me on my toes.
I want learning to be fun, because I like life to be fun. School shouldn't be stressful! Let me help you.
I prefer to work via Skype or the internet based on how our schedules work together. I am also available to tutor in person in the Athens area.
