I enjoy tutoring students with learning disabilities in reading or those who are generally struggling in reading. I've taught at every grade level and am very passionate about helping children learn to read. I am a certified special education teacher and have a reading endorsement. My approach is quite simple - I will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to ensure each child receives the necessary help he or she needs. I use a variety of instructional methods such a technology, games, and a variety of hands-on activities. In addition to information retrieved from teachers and parents, I will conduct my my own assessment to help confirm reading level and difficulties.
