TUTORING AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER! Remember, students lose most of the knowledge they gained during the year over the summer. It's important to keep up with basic core work during the summer months!

I am a little bit of a nerd. I have a passion for high school math (good thing too since that is my career path!) and I want to make my students love it as much as I do. I was definitely blessed with some of the best high school teachers who really enjoyed their respective subjects and they were definitely some of my biggest role models and influences when it came to deciding my career path. My mom, sister, and brother are also all teachers, so I guess you could say it runs in the family.

I am currently in my first year of my master's program at UGA. I couldn't get enough of Athens, because this is also where I received my undergraduate degree. Here at UGA, I am on the UGA triathlon team; I am an active person and always have been. In high school, I ran cross country and track all four years. Hopefully, I will be able to coach as well as teach once I graduate and am in the teaching world. My ultimate goal is to make my future students the best possible individuals they can be and to hopefully instill in them a good background in math and an appreciation for the subject.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a graduate student in the math education program at UGA. I can work with students of all ages on their math. While I am focusing my studies on middle/high school education, I can also be of assistance to elementary school children. I am currently tutoring a 7th grader in math who was rather far behind when I began working with him and he has improved drastically since. Because there are several ways to teach one particular math topic, I would prefer to have some contact with your child's teacher so that I can supplement their teaching techniques and teach in the same manor as to not confuse your child. If I sound like a good for your child, please message me! Thanks, Liz.

Great. — Liz is very good to work with. My son is very comfortable with her. She offers excellent skills and uses them to understand how and what to teach. I look forward to having her be a part of helping my son grow. ...
