I am a recent graduate of the Honors College at the University of Georgia. I hold a degree in journalism and minors in English and religion. Reading and comprehension skills are my strong suit; in high school, I earned a perfect score (800) on the verbal SAT, as well as a perfect score (5) on the AP English exam. I am confident in my ability to help other students achieve similarly competitive test scores or to simply meet or exceed grade level standards.
Due to my SAT score and numerous leadership roles in high school, I earned seven scholarships which financed education at UGA; therefore, I am able to provide college-planning guidance and advice. I plan to tutor while I prepare for a career in teaching.
My other areas of experience include:
- ESL (taught ESL to refugees)
- creative writing and editing (served as editor of UGA's literary magazine and have published my own short stories and travel essays)
- religion (minor in world religions)
- social studies (comfortable tutoring pre-k-12 level history, geography, and psychology)
Additionally, I am comfortable tutoring any special education, elementary, middle, or high school general curriculum subject. Regarding extracurriculars, I have played soccer and run track and cross-country competitively since childhood.
