Thanks for looking at my profile! My name is Chyna (pronounced like the country but with a 'y'). Let me tell you a little about myself!
In May of this year, I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, minoring in Child and Family Development. In my search for a job in this economy, I stumbled upon the idea of tutoring and realized just how well I'm suited for something like this! My long-term educational goal is to gain enough experience working with children in order to apply to a PhD program in Child Development. I am the oldest of six siblings and love working with kids of all ages. I am looking for opportunities to help anyone I can reach their academic goals!
The past four years of college have really helped me determine which subjects I love to teach. These include psychology, language arts, reading, writing, English, Spanish, and science. Personally, math requires more of a mental effort, but since it is one of the hardest subjects to master, it is important to get as much outside help as possible!
One of the most important things I've learned during my educational career is how to study. It is one of the most difficult things to master, and it differs for each individual. If I can teach you or your children the way to study that best suits you, then I will have accomplished my goal! I am available to tutor in the Alpharetta and Duluth areas. Whether your need is to learn how to read or to prepare for tough standardized tests like the SAT or GRE, I believe we can accomplish great things together!
In the end, I love learning. And I actually miss school. (Never thought I'd say that!)
Thank you for your consideration and...
