I have been programming in C for about 5 years now and I write C code for my job on a daily basis. I can offer assistance in C programming at a beginner's level. Topics include data types, logic and control statements, arrays, strings, pointers, structures, file I/O, command line arguments, and recursion.
I graduate with honors with my Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. As most with most undergraduate degree programs, my undergraduate studies provided the necessary knowledge base approach problems I would face in my profession. Specifically, my program helped me to "develop practical engineering knowledge, skills, and ways of thinking."
I now use the knowledge a career software developer for embedded systems. I completed Differential Equations for Honors Students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I passed the course with an A as a sophomore and tutored students in the course for the remainder of my undergraduate career. I am very comfortable with treatment of first and second order differential equations as covered in most undergraduate Differential Equations courses. Topics covered include methods of substitution on simple higher order equations, linear equations and systems of linear
equations with constant coefficients, methods of undetermined coefficients and variation of parameters, Laplace transforms, series solutions, linear algebra and matrix methods of solutions.
Linear Algebra was my final math course for my minor in Mathematics. I received perfect scores on all the exams in this course and was excused from the final. I am very comfortable with all of the topics I covered in this subject, including vector and matrix operations, matrix inverses, eigenvectors, and eigenvalues equations of lines and planes, vector spaces, linear transformations,
change of basis, diagonalization of matrices, inner products and orthonormal bases.
I am currently a professional computer engineer. All of my development is completed in the Linux environment. I am very familiar with navigating in GUI based Ubuntu platforms as well as the more terminal style CentOS platform. I can provide beginner level support with Linux and performing basic tasks such as installing packages and setting up a development environment.
As a programmer, I work with logic in my development everyday. My experience with logic spans both my applied mathematics and computer science backgrounds. I earned a minor in both subjects along with my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. I am qualified to assist students with many of the sub-fields including set theory, recursion, and proofs.
