My name is Brittany and I tutor English, language arts and math for all grades. Currently, I am teaching middle school reading and language arts. I have a master's in teaching from Georgia State University. I graduated Emory University with a bachelor's degree in English. I am a hands-on individual that loves to work with children and provide them with the best possible education. I differentiate my instruction so that my student's needs are met. I have been tutoring for six years. I have experience tutoring small groups and one-on-one. I worked as a teacher's assistant at a charter school for English and math teachers. I love education, learning, and helping students. I believe that all students deserve the right to a challenging and rewarding learning experience, and that is what I provide for my students.

English subject consists of comprehension, reading, rhetoric, literary devices, and analyzing a text.

Mechanics of Standard American English.

Deals with literature, classical and modern, and learning specific details about a text and being able to analyze and discuss important details. Also to see beyond a text's apparent meaning.

A component of grammar.

Drawing inferences from a text and being able to see beyond the text's meaning; like what the author is trying to portray and analyzing voice. Reading also involves comprehension.

SAT Writing

I have taught three SAT English classes with several students during the past five years. I also have tutored SAT and ACT privately for six years. During sessions, I focus on teaching test taking strategies as well as repetition in completing drills. I also review and teach concepts that will be needed in order to score well on the test.
