I have been teaching Algebra since 2009. I have taught over 50 students in Algebra since that time.
As a math major, I have seen the material in Algebra on several different levels, which allows me to adjust to the level and nature of understanding for each student. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!
I've been teaching Calculus since 2008, both at Rutgers and privately. I have had over 30 students for Calculus over the years.
I teach both the AP Calculus tests and college level calculus. Several students have done very well on the AP test, scoring 5's on the AB and BC tests.
I took Differential Equations in high school as well as in college. In addition to taking a semester of differential equations and one of partial differential equations, I took several classes on Advanced Calculus which are proof based classes where you fundamentally prove and construct the logical basis for Calculus and Differential Equations.
I've taken graduate and undergraduate courses on graph theory, combinatorial theory, and linear programming among others. I've co-taught a course at the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University on applied discrete mathematics.
I have been teaching Geometry for over 5 years now. I realize it can be a strange subject for many students, it's the first time many will encounter formal definitions, proofs and logic. It is definitely a different flavor of math compared to algebra and arithmetic which many students are more comfortable with due to a longer exposure to those subjects!
I have over 5 years of experience of living in India and have native fluency in the language. I can read, write and speak the language. I scored in the top 10 percent of the country when testing for Hindi on national examinations in India and also have a letter which states my fluency in the language from a Professor at Rutgers University.
I have taken a few linear algebra courses at the college level (Math 250 and a proof based course, Math 350) and received A's in both courses. In addition, as a math and physics major, I have regularly been using concepts from linear algebra in many different contexts and courses.
As a math major I have taken many courses which involve logic and also courses just on mathematical logic. I have also taken philosophy classes on logic as well.
I am a physics major and have been tutoring physics at the Rutgers Learning Center. I teach almost all levels of introductory physics.
I specialize in teaching SAT math section and feel that it is the easiest part of the SATs to coach.
I have had several students who have scored very well, around the 780 and 790 mark. Many have scored about 700 as well. Please email me for more details.
