Hello! My name is Linda and I have a B.S in Early Childhood Education and and M.S. in Creative Arts in Learning. I've worked with young children for much of my life, in summer camps, as a school volunteer, as a girl scout leader and of course, as a teacher. I enjoy writing, singing, arts and crafts, and dancing in my free time.

My passion is reaching children through creative means. What this means is integrating music, movement, etc. into their lessons. What this does not mean is eliminating the need for practice in reading, writing, and math.

Your student, being a unique individual with unique learning needs, will have specialized lessons and assessments created for him/her. I will, however, tailor the lessons to help meet any deficits that your student's classroom teacher feels need to be addressed. Alternately, if your child is not yet in school, I will be happy to create stimulating lessons that will address your child's expanding curiosity about the world.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
