I have taught high school math (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus)and Physics (General and AP) for 7 years and have extensive private tutoring experience as well. My tutoring method generally involves having the student work the problems out him/herself, while I provide direction as needed. The student will not learn if I just show him/her how to do every problem, without allowing him/her to make & correct their own mistakes. The only way for a student to excel in math and Physics is to become more confident by DOING more problems, rather than have me lecture to them for the entire hour. I have multiple references available upon request.
