I am a certified teacher in Wisconsin and Florida and have taught at all grade levels from elementary through college. I have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin and I can make learning fun and respectful of varied learning styles. I have two grown children and 5 grandchildren and am comfortable teaching any age child.
I have had extensive experience teaching language as a second language. My thesis for my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction dealt with second language learning and the issues related to it. I am creative and able to understand the pitfalls of learning English, so as to simplify it for learning.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in French and Spanish Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin. I have successfully taught French for many years in Wisconsin from small children through eighth grade. I tutored French at all levels at the UW-Madison for 10 years. I love the language and feel confident that I can teach it well.

Phonics is a part of language which I have studied extensively in Spanish and French and have taught for many years. I understand English phonics as well and have taught it in comparison to those of other languages, thus strengthening my knowledge of English phonics.

I have a good ear for dialectical difference and a strength in language learning. I have studied numerous languages throughout my life. This has given me expertise in oral speech for those wanting to speak English with less accent. As far as speech giving, I have, as a teacher, and leader in my school, given numerous speeches and taught my students the rudiments of a good speech. I feel confident that both facets of speech, be it enunciation or speaking to an audience, are areas where I, as a language educator, have expertise.
I am a strong speller and I am able to help people improve their spelling by teaching them the patterns of the language.

Track & Field
I have coached high school boys track and field, along with my husband, who has 40 years experience in the sport. He taught me a lot and I was successful coaching high jump and hurdles, along with other events.
I love to write and am currently writing a book. I have published a book previously and numerous articles as well. When I taught, I taught my students how to write, albeit in a foreign language. I also helped college students with writing when I tutored at the University of Wisconsin.
