After having gone through undergraduate studies in elementary education, I quickly went into an accelerated master's program where I honed my ability to help student's with disabilities. I spent my first two years in Florida working at a school where the students were English Language Learners (ELL). I then found a school which dealt with my area of expertise, a school for students diagnosed with severe ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. I help student's learn different ways to approach problems (both academic and social). I also work with their organization skills, study skills and practical application of important life skills.
I am well versed in many areas of mathematics and have had much success teaching students how to write expository, narrative and persuasive essays. I have helped develop a science curriculum which spans multiple grade levels for my school, and have also assisted parents as a home-school consultant. Teaching is my passion, it's what I do for a living and what I do on my spare time. With many years under my belt and a joy for helping children succeed, I believe I could be a great choice when looking for a candidate suitable for your son's/daughter's education needs!
