Greetings to all,

A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a MBA degree, an undergraduate from The University of Technology, and a Teachers' Certificate from Mico University (then MICO Teachers College), I am offering my service as a tutor in Math(pre-algebra, algebra, Geometry); Language Arts (reading, vocabulary); Business Studies (accounting and finance).

I have over eight years teaching experience working with students from Grade 4-12, and with adults pursuing CE courses. I have worked in different industries (Oil refinery, Education, Health Care, and Non-for Profit), and enjoy interacting and exchanging ideas with others. Currently, I volunteer at least 2 hours weekly for the past eight years working with children in a non-for profit environment. I have provided tutoring service in Canada and Jamaica.

Hands on and interactions, drawing from students' experiences, are my methods of teaching; coupled with worksheets for reinforcement and immediate feedback, to measure students' progress.

I emphasize the concepts, techniques, and conventions underlying the balance sheet and income statement. I cover the principles of asset valuation, income determination financial reporting,business taxes, owners' equity.

This also includes the functions of accounting analysis, with special focus on budgeting and performance measurement.

Elementary Math

I use worksheets to reinforce and motivate the learning of basic math concepts in addition, subtraction,geometry(identifying shapes), and multiplications.

Real life problem solving exercises are also incorporated to make the child's life experiences come alive.

If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
