Algebra 1

I am an experienced tutor in the areas of English, Spanish, and mathematics. I was a successful student in high school math through the AP Calculus level; I scored 720/800 on the SAT Math test and 4/5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. While studying Spanish Language and Literature at New College of Florida, the state's honors college, I worked as an English, math, and Spanish tutor at IMG Academies in Bradenton, FL.

Spanish

As an advanced student of Spanish American Literature at New College of Florida, I am able to offer assistance with grammar, aural/oral language skills, reading, research, and composition to Spanish language students at all levels.

English

While attending New College of Florida, the state's honors college, I worked as a Student Writing Assistant for 3 years. At New College of Florida's Writing Resource Center, I assisted college students with academic papers at every stage of the writing process.

At IMG Academies and as an independent tutor, I've coached students to prepare for SAT tests and to succeed in regular and Advanced Placement English courses.

SAT Reading

I have experience tutoring high school and college students, primarily in English, literary studies, and writing. In high school I scored 800 on the SAT Verbal section, and I scored in the 600s in SAT Math. I also completed AP Calculus with a passing score of 4 in high school. While English is my chosen field of study, I am qualified to tutor students in both Reading and Math at the high school level.

SAT Writing

ESL/ESOL

I have experience as a writing tutor at an undergraduate college, working with a number of ESOL students. I have training in working with students on English basics such as grammar and sentence construction. My goal is for students to gain confidence in writing and learn to catch their own mistakes!

Anthropology

I studied anthropology for 3 years at New College of Florida, the state's honors college. I have successfully and felicitously worked with numerous undergraduate students on anthropology papers as a student writing assistant at New College. While my experience at New College made me aware of current academic trends and conventions through 2011, I continue to read ethnographic and anthropological texts for fun.
