My unique tutoring is for children with a variety of cognitive needs. My experience is in teaching early elementary education and fine arts for over 18 years. My major tutoring interests are math, language arts,and visual arts to K-3 including children of special needs. I taught children in an inclusive classroom setting in a private elementary school for five years. I owned an art studio where I taught group art classes in an inclusive classroom setting to children, adults and seniors for seven years.
I have taught many life-long learning classes in colleges and volunteered in many elementary schools and Boys Club.
My skills include the following:
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Strong interpersonal skills which demonstrate the ability to work with all levels of personal as well as mentoring and counseling.
*Conscientious, patient, and good listener.
* Fine arts rendering in different media. Photography,sculpture in relief and 3-dimensional from clay and plaster,bronze casting using lost wax method, drama and public speaking.
* Experience with Microsoft Office 2007, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
My goal is to be a caring and efficient instructor in my quest to help children to enjoy learning and feel confident in being who they are and their achievements. No Child should be left behind; students are our future.
