Based upon the child's learning style, I'm able to teach a broad spectrum of subjects. Preparation and flow are key to good teaching. Being intuitive to a child's needs is as important as making learning fun. I enjoy working one-on-one and am extremely patient.

If a student already knows their passion and ambition, I work with them to isolate markets, refine resumes and outline strategies to obtaining the best possible employer. Teaching students to qualifying potential employers is also an important tool.

I've taught Graphic Design and Adobe software for over six years at two colleges in Maryland. Students were given five projects per semester. Projects were a form of introduction to shape, form and space. Students learned to concept development and the importance of hierarchy and aesthetics in communicating their concept. Group and individual critiques impelled their growth.

When teaching public speaking, there are checklists and assignments given to students to eliminate fears. We also, briefly, discuss their previous experiences; then we focus on what we're going to do moving forward.
Working with “Phonics”, being an exceptional example, use visual aids and common items, asking them to participate with writing and reading aloud. These with the addition of vocabulary building tasks work well.
