Hi, my name is Jenn.

I am currently a first year student at the University of South Florida, freshly graduated from a dual-enrollment program; meaning that as I completed high school, I obtained my associate's degree from my local college. I have taken up to AP Calculus AB in my high school and Trigonometry in my college, and am currently enrolled in Calculus II at USF.

I have always loved teaching and I received over 500 community service hours from a daycare in Georgia over summer vacation and worked with pre-schoolers who were special needs, emotionally handicapped, and foster children, amongst others. Teaching is my passion and I love to do it. I love working with children, working with teenagers, and teaching rigorous classes.

I will curve my tutoring to your specific learning styles and get to know you as an individual student rather than an experiment for a lesson plan. Tutoring is not about the extracurriculars for me, it is about seeing that student finally get it and feel confident in the subject.

I look forward to helping you and am excited to hear from you.

Thank you,
Jenn

Algebra 1

I am very patient with students and enjoy teaching seeing as I aspire to become a mathematics professor. I have always gotten A's in all my math courses and am a Dual-Enrolled student currently in Senior year of High School and finishing my AA in college. I am required to maintain a 3.0 average and have a 3.7 unweighted and a 6.06 weighted GPA. I also have over 500 community service hours which I obtained from volunteering at a daycare in Georgia over the course of 3 consecutive summers. I assisted teaching several of the classes for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. The daycare involved foster children, adopted children, special needs children, ADHD diagnosed children, and the typical 4-13 year old. I am apt at switching my teaching method to curb it towards the student's learning method. I helped them with memory games, learning how to read, the basics of math and science, etc.

Education

Miami Dade College (Mathematics)

Excellent and Attentive Tutor! Jennifer is an excellent tutor. She always makes time for the student and explains the material very well. Jennifer is also very easy to contact, making it more convenient for her students to ask her questions on the spot and not having to wait hours for a reply. The most I have had to wait for a reply is probably around 10 minutes, meaning she is always attentive to any problems or questions the ...
