Tutoring has been my passion and drive for over 10 years now. I love seeing the faces of my students when they 'get' a difficult concept or math problem. I have had amazing success in tutoring children up through college in Math, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, and French.
I was a pre-Vet major and took many math courses including Engineering Calculus 2 and science such as Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I am Phi Beta Kappa and have 3 full BAs and have been inducted into the French Honor Society. I am fluent in French and lived in Paris working as a bilingual secretary for a large corporate firm.
Most of my tutoring has been in Math where I approach it as a way to help students succeed in the world. Many of my students have gone from D's and F's to A's and B's. It may take a while, as confidence is often the key factor. My approach consists of detailed comprehension and lots of praise even in the slightest gain in understanding. Praise definitely works.
