I have been a third grade general education teacher and a special education teacher for grades one through five, with experience writing Individual Education Plans (IEP's) and analyzing psycho-educational testing to determine special education eligibility. As a professional elementary school teacher and substitute teacher, I have over ten years of professional experience with students from diverse populations of all cultures and economic levels. I have a B.S. in Liberal Studies with Business Management, Computer Science, and Philosophy concentrations. I also have an A.S. in Computer Information Systems from Holyoke Community College.
I am an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented administrative management and teaching professional with advanced computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power point, and Access. Throughout my employment history I have demonstrated superior customer service aptitude and adeptness; exceptional interpersonal relations including phenomenal communication savvy; and an effective, efficient ability to adapt to a diverse, ever-changing environment.
At Westfield State University I was also a volunteer assistant lecturer for the Philosophy Department, tutor of undergraduate courses, and supervisor and administrator of student examinations. My enthusiasm to teach struggling students how to excel and boost their confidence is my top priority. I am looking forward to explaining the enigma of subjects including special needs reading and math in a clear and concise manner that permits even the most skeptical student to succeed. I am looking forward to working with you soon and please request my assistance with the confidence that price is no object; I am willing to negotiate a rate that meets even the tightest budget. Providing my services and allowing students the opportunity to learn means making any accommodations necessary to meet that goal. Don't hesitate contact me now!
