I have extensive experience tutoring students of varying ages and ability levels. I am a positive, upbeat person and generally get along well with all children that I meet. I have specialized training in ADHD, autistic-spectrum disorders, and various psychological factors that may impact academic performance. As an employee of a large national tutoring chain, I tutored young children in phonics/early reading and mathematics for several years. My other specialties include making elementary and middle school math concepts understandable and relevant. I have tutored many high school students in pre-algebra and algebra. I have also edited journal articles and academic writing at the graduate and postgraduate levels.
