With more than 20 years of experience teaching ESOL, Spanish, Reading, and Special Education, I am a passionate educator with a commitment to academic excellence. I enjoy working with students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and abilities to help them reach their full potential. I adapt my teaching to my students' individual learning styles and use a dynamic, engaging, fun method to deliver the content. I obtained my B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) from Florida Atlantic University and I hold a Master's degree in TESOL / Bilingual Education. I have taught ESOL and Spanish for several prestigious language schools both in Venezuela and the United States, and have also worked as a Reading, Language Arts, and Special Education teacher for Broward County Public Schools. I currently teach in the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University and previously taught at Broward College. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, with a basic command of Swedish and French. I hold FLDOE certifications in ESOL, Reading, ESE, and Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum. I am also committed to making a difference in the community and have volunteered for several organizations in Broward County. In 2001, I was distinguished as Clinical Outreach Volunteer of the Year by Women in Distress.
