University Level Teaching Experience with a Master's and Law Degree

I enjoy teaching! I have taught at the university level and have substitute taught at all levels in the public school system in Broward County. I have tutored SES students through Education Advantage in Broward County as well. I am looking to continue to teach at the university level while pursuing my career as an attorney. More importantly, I am very interested in tutoring because I am bent on sharing my love of education and knowledge with the youth of today.

Furthermore, I find it necessary and compelling to impose upon the youth of today the need to excel academically. When I was in high school in the 1990's my parents impressed upon me the need for education and I personally think it is necessary to succeed in today's multinational market economies.

Law

Graduated the St. Thomas University School of Law in 2011.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have substitute taught 5-8 grades for several years and am currently privately engaged in tutoring several 6th and 7th grade students.

Basketball

I have been playing basketball in both an organized and recreational fashion for 20 years. I have coached several youth teams.

Business

I have a business degree in Economics and a Master's degree in City Planning with a focus on Economic Development. Further I have a law degree wherein I specialized in corporate and business transaction law.

Public Speaking

I graduated law school and am seeking a career in litigation and thus have taken many public speaking classes. Furthermore, I have spoken before many community and municipal boards as a city planner.

Career Development

I have worked a substitute teacher in high school, am a volunteer guardian ad litem, and have taught at career colleges. I love to help students find their path through the use of the Socratic method and subsequently help them narrow that path into a specialty through question and answer sessions as well as trial work days where they shadow professionals in their field of interest.

CLAST

From my tenure as an adjunct instructor I am able to speak with students and discern what classes they need to be placed in. The data used for this purpose comes from the CLAST and not dissimilar to the ACT or SAT I have experience in helping high school students prepare for the CLAST so as to provide to them the opportunity to get into the class which best suits their needs, desires and placement level(s).

Sociology

Between my degrees in urban planning, law, and economics I have a vast and extensive educational history involving sociology and philosophy. As social sciences, economics, urban planning and law involve philosophy, human behavior patterns, and the collection and analysis of socioeconomic and sociopolitical data. Further, I have taught economics and law exclusively as a substitute teacher and in a university setting over a prolonged period of time.

Criminal Justice

I have a Juris Doctorate and have tutored legal studies before.

Social Studies

Between my degrees in urban planning and law I have a vast and extensive educational history involving sociology and geography. I have taught social studies exclusively as a substitute teacher and have tutored social studies through various mediums for a significant period of time.
