I started out my education as a PC Specialist. While working in the Student Support Services Department at Faulkner State Community College, I became a math tutor. I liked this so much I decided to go through the schooling to get another degree, this time in Mathematics. It is there that I decided on furthering my education by attaining a comprehensive mathematics degree in education (minor in computer science). I attained my two associate's degrees at FSCC and my bachelor's degree at Troy University (Troy, AL). I found out that I could present a mathematical problem in a way with which my peers could relate.
I have taught mathematics for 7th grade as well as for 9th through 12th grades including general math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, and Business mathematics. I have also taught at Pensacola State College in the Developmental Studies Department (pre-algebra and beginning algebra), Collegiate High School, and Veteran's Upward Bound. While at PSC, I was the assistant supervisor and tutored math courses including trigonometry, statistics, pre-calculus and Calculus I. I am professionally certified in mathematics in two states, Alabama and Florida. I am currently teaching at a charter school while continuing my adjunct responsibilities at PSC and working on my master's degrees.
I have been tutoring since 1995 in all the subjects listed. I go over a problem in detail and then guide the student while he/she attempts to do it. After guiding students, I leave them alone to do a couple on their own and then come back to check if they got the problem right. If not, then I remediate them again and go through the process over until the student comprehends the material; then, we can move onto the next objective.
I have had a lot of training involved with technology and a PC. I have received my training from Faulkner State Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree and I have attending various workshops that my school systems offer. I have an Intel certification as well. I was the SYSOP at P.A.S.S. Academy located in Dothan, AL in which I done some minor maintenance and upgrade. I have answered to various trouble shooting situations and installed and downloaded applications for about 20 brand new computers with printers in the school. At my other schools where I taught mathematics, I was on the technology committees. I was a member and the President of FSCC's chapter with the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). I won the "Computer Science" award given by FSCC.
I will show the student how to make movies with Photostory3 and Movie Maker (free downloads). The student will learn how to use Adobe Photoshop to download and edit pictures with special features that enhance the quality of the pictures and resize them for various reasons. I will show the student how to organize pictures into categorized files with Adobe Photoshop.
I am a highly qualified certified math teacher/instructor. I have taught Algebra for 14 years in all levels (7th grade to college level). I am currently an adjunct instructor for Pensacola State College to which I teach in three departments (Developmental Studies, Veteran's Upward Bound, and Collegiate High). I have been involved with AMSTI as well. If you are interested in an experienced Algebra teacher, then I am your tutor.
I have tutored elementary students before. I am highly qualified to teach mathematics-grades 6th - 12th with the state of Alabama and am currently sending the last documents on my certification with Florida now.

I have a AAS degree in Computer Science (PC Specialist) & I have a minor in Computer Science from Troy University (B.S. degree). I have given help to my peers at work for their computer problem and determination. I was the SYSOP for an alternative school in 2003. While I was teaching in Alabama, I presented various computer applications to my associates at work (held a mini workshop).
I have taught Prealgebra for 7yrs. in different locations. Currently, I am teaching Prealgebra at Pensacola State College through the Developmental Studies Department. I have Prealgebra material that I can copy and give to my tutees. Since I work with the Developmental Studies Department, I understand how to work with Non-traditional students who haven't been in school for a long time and are attending school again for job displacement or advancement in a job position, or merely to try a new avenue in their life.
Excellent Tutor — We've been using FeAnna to help with my 11th grade son's algebra/geometry and PSAT pump up. She's a great teacher, very patient, and explains concepts well. My son's math skills have been steadily improving because of her time and efforts. I would highly recommend FeAnna. ...
