I am recent graduate of Norwich University where I received a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. I am also an EIT, or Engineer-in-Training. I passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam giving me this certification. I was very active in extracurricular activities and I earned a cumulative 3.4 GPA. I am a member of the Society of Women Engineers and I was active in American Society of Civil Engineers as well. I found it very helpful to connect with other students and professionals in the industry. While in school, I worked as a Teacher's Assistant in three different courses. I gained experience tutoring students as well as grading their work.
I have always loved math and science, that is why I'm an engineer. I find that helping people makes me very happy and satisfied. I typically focus on determining a student's level of knowledge and learning how they learn. This helps me determine how to best teach material. I like to do examples of problems, then watch the student solve them. Once I see how they process information, I can figure out how I can help them.
