Besides a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, I'm internationally certified (CELTA certificate), which enables me to teach students from any part of the world. My teaching experience is 7 years. I will be glad to help you with your language need exams-TOEFL or Cambridge exams. We will work on all the skills - reading, speaking, writing, listening, and we will master Grammar.
One of the reviews from my students:
Students are very different people. Some of them like to read or only listen to new information. All of them need a unique approach and every student has their own goals to learn English. I think that an excellent teacher has to be an understanding person, he or she has to be able to find a common language. For example, I like to change different methods and themes of lessons.
I think that Olga could find the optimal way to learn English for me. We have audio and reading lessons, we discuss different themes about work, life and etc. We try to learn and revise new words in the lessons. In addition, Olga corrects my mistakes very efficiently and professionally. I freely tell Olga my expectations from lessons. She has never lost her temper, she is an inspiring and open-minded teacher.
What about my results? Hm… It' s a little difficult to evaluate myself. I think I find it easier to speak and understand English but listening skills still need much work. And I need to listen more in English, train and revise new information everyday.
I can prepare for the language part of the exam, it's a very simple part of the test and as a linguist I found it very easy when taking it myself. Other parts I didn't find too easy though, but students sometimes get different tutors to work on different parts. For example, when I prepare for students for SAT - they usually work with an expert in Math and separately with a language teacher on the language and essay part.
I have a Master's Degree in "Teaching English". Very deep studying of the language structure, its history in the university as it was my major.
Before University I studied English at school for 10 years at a gymnasium specializing in English. I've been speaking English since 7 years old.
We will work on all language skills and will learn the language naturally. My students get to speak correctly and quite well; some of them get fluent; all of them passed the exams I had prepared them for, many with exceptional Speaking and Use of English results. Writing essays and compositions will improve significantly. We can focus on all the skills equally, or spend more time on a particular skill, depending on a student's goal. It can be an intensive program too, with the most important information to study or an extended program with a thorough coverage of the information with all little details. The material of the lessons will depend on the needs.
I have Master's Degree in Foreign Languages. The official number of hours in my university dedicated specifically to English Grammar Theory and Practice are 140 and 768. I know it all about English grammar.
Before University I studied English at school for 10 years at a gymnasium specializing in English and everyday independent and professional work on the language must be added.
I've been teaching the skill - reading in combination with other skills, of course - for 8 years. Moreover I have been teaching it for over than 4 years as a skill in the exam format. Literature and languages have always been things I could do best. Lots of official hours of literature hours at school and university. I have CELTA - that teaches the methodology of teaching every skill at its best. All types of reading and how to work on a text.
Preparing for exams is my specialty. It includes Cambridge exams, TOEFL, IELTS. ( FCE and CAE are analogues of TOEFL). I have passed the highest Cambridge exam CPE myself ( Proficiency exam).
My tutoring experience in preparing for those exams is over 4 years.
