Hi, I'm Mrs. J. I'm a former English and Social Studies Teacher. I taught at the high school level for numerous years, approximately 9 years, and 1 year at elementary level. I have extensive experience tutoring kids one on one during after school programs. During my years of teaching, my students achieved great results on their state tests. Helping students to learn so that they can progress to the next level is very rewarding. I love seeing the joy on my students faces when they realize that they can do as well as the other students. If students are given the attention and time they need to accomplish the task, they too can succeed. I am a patient and compassionate person when it comes to helping students to comprehend what it is that they're trying so hard to understand. Most of the time when students are having problems in school and are not keeping up the with the other students,completing their assignments on time or not passing tests, it is because they need individual attention. I know that after I've tutored with your child for a few weeks, you will, start to see a great improvement in your child's comprehension and critical thinking skills.
