In addition to working full time as a Systems Analyst at a fortune 100 company here in Orlando-Research Parkway, I also tutor high school and college students. For me tutoring is a passion more than a role, a responsibility more than a job.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Computer Information Systems. My undergraduate college emphases were in areas of Real Analysis, Linear and Non-Linear Systems Analysis - Operations Research. While I primarily tutor in Mathematics, I also tutor in several other quantitative science based subjects which are listed here in my profile.
You may ask, what can I do for you? Well, as your tutor I can provide a number of advantages over instruction in a classroom. This includes: individualized as-needed tutoring, special needs consideration, assistance with home schooling, increased parental involvement and better study-forming habits at home. I also offer the students I tutor an opportunity to receive online homework help via email or web-chat. My tutoring style is informal but focused. I am however flexible and can adjust as needed.
If you are seeking a tutor, carefully choose this person. This person must not only know their craft but also be a mentor and a coach all in one. That tutor must be able to bridge the communication gap between the instructor and the student. This communication gap is often what intimidates the student and hinders the learning process. It is my goal in bridging this gap to make learning non-intimidating, challenging, but fun.
